About Me

Welcome to The Best of Hyde Park! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a local enthusiast who fell in love with Hyde Park the way most great love stories begin—slowly at first, then all at once. From tree-lined streets and historic architecture to neighborhood cafes where the barista knows your name, Hyde Park has a unique rhythm that’s equal parts intellectual, artistic, and welcoming. This blog is my attempt to capture that spirit and share the spots that make this community one-of-a-kind—whether it’s a jazz night in a tucked-away lounge, a perfectly chewy bagel, or a bookstore that feels like a portal to another world.

I started this blog partly to help others discover the magic of Hyde Park—and partly because I needed a creative outlet (read: a productive way to procrastinate). When I’m not wandering through the neighborhood “researching” for posts, I’m probably reordering my to-do list to justify just one more coffee run or detour through Promontory Point.

Thanks for reading. I hope The Best of Hyde Park inspires you to explore, enjoy, and maybe even fall in love with the neighborhood too.
